Missionaries Help Neighbors Save Homes From Fires

Four Mormon missionaries helped save homes in their neighborhood when fires threatened the area last week.

Andrew Heaton, Jeremy Moore, Erik Forsberg and Michael Greenwood, all serving two-year missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, share a house in the Palm Bay area. Last Monday afternoon they noticed strange lights outside their living room window. When they went outside to investigate, they saw several of their neighbors’ homes on fire and others with fires approaching.

The missionaries shoveled dirt and sprayed water from garden hoses to help control fires. After two hours beating back flames, they were able to help save the homes of neighbors Brandy LaDawn and Paul Budhu.
