  • Working with national health organizations and ministries of health from countries around the world, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has sent volunteer physicians and nurses to instruct birth attendants on neonatal resuscitation techniques. • Through Church efforts, tens of thousands of birth attendants have been trained.
  • In 2006, training was conducted in 26 countries: Albania, Argentina, Botswana, Brazil, Colombia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Ghana, India, Jordan, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Namibia, Nigeria, Paraguay, Peru, Sierra Leone, Thailand, Turkey and Ukraine.
